Workshop making PASTECHI

Will you come and make the real Antillean pastechi with us? Then you are most welcome on Saturday 2 July, from 13:30 to 16:15 in the Markthal in Rotterdam!

In this workshop you will make the tastiest Antillean pastechi together with Jurino. We start by making the dough. Then we will make in groups of 3 different fillings to put in the pastechi. Chicken, tuna, minced meat and a vegetarian version.

When the filling is ready, it's time to make the pastechi. We do this by hand, of course. You will also learn to make the famous folded edge.

At the end of the workshop there is time to taste a pastechi. The rest of the pastechi that has been made can be taken home. First trade, of course, so that everyone has a pastechi in every taste! And you will also receive an extra package of 'Soulfood Seasoning' spices from us, so that you can get started with it at home.

When you order a ticket for this workshop, all materials and ingredients are included, so:

– use of the cooking studio
– all the ingredients for the pastechi
– use of an apron
– incl. packaging to take the pastechi home
– incl. extra 'Soulfood Seasoning' to get started at home

LOCATION (ATTENTION!)

The workshop will be held in the Markthal in Rotterdam. There we rent the cooking studio of the SVO vocational training Food† There is room enough for everyone, so we don't get in each other's way! The market hall is right next to Blaak train/metro station. The entrance to the cooking studio is on the Extended Nieuwstraat 177. That is on the side (outside) of the Markthal.

On the window is the number 177 and in large letters “SVO Vakopleiding food”.

PARKING

You can park cheaply in Rotterdam if you reserve a spot in one of the municipal garages in advance. The garage 'Oude Haven' and 'Kiphof' are closest to our location. For a parking ticket of 5 hours you only pay € 6,50. Click here to reserve a spot

– The entrance to the cooking studio is located on the side (outside) of the Markthal. The address is Verlengde Nieuwstraat 177 and the window reads “SVO Vakopleiding Food”

* Unfortunately, the studio is not suitable for wheelchair users

* We ask you to be present about 10 minutes before the start, so that we can start immediately. Have you been there before? Then we would like to ask you to do another round in that beautiful Markthal, so that we have time to prepare all the stuff

* Our workshops are suitable for participants from 12 years old
