The 10 tastiest recipes for Easter
Easter is just around the corner and what could be more fun than eating together? Where you usually opt for dinner at Christmas, it often turns out to be a nice brunch at Easter. With tasty bread rolls, small snacks and especially lots of sweet colors on the table. What are you going to make for Easter brunch this year? We give you our 10 best recipes!
1. Pumpkin Spice Rolls

These sweet buns with pumpkin butter are a variation on the Antillean 'pandushi'. I'm always experimenting with new flavors for that and that's how I came up with this version with pumpkin and spices. The bread rolls are nice and sweet and therefore do not need toppings. Their orange color makes it really cozy on the table during Easter. † Click here for the recipe of the pumpkin spice bread rolls
2. Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Do you have enough time to prepare the meat? Then opt for these irresistibly tasty 'pulled pork bread rolls'. With slowly cooked attorney in a tasty barbecue sauce. You can prepare the meat for these bread rolls on the BBQ as well as in the oven, so it's a great recipe even on a rainy day! † Click here for the recipe of the pulled pork bread rolls
3. Mini turbans with cream cheese frosting

At Easter — just like at Christmas — you run the risk of eating a little too much. It is therefore more important that everything is just a little smaller than normal. These mini turbans are perfect! They are not only nice to look at, but also very tasty. They steal the show during Easter brunch with their cream cheese frosting. And because they are so small, they fit perfectly in a larger buffet. † Click here for the recipe of the mini turbans
4. Homemade Bagels

There is almost nothing better than a soft, shiny bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Or maybe you go for a combination of scrambled eggs and avocado? Even a vegan version with hummus and spinach is a great option for Easter. Did you know that bagels are not difficult to make at all? With our recipe you will certainly succeed for this Easter brunch! † Click here for the bagel recipe
5. Chicken skewers (on sugar cane)

Made from minced chicken and nicely seasoned… those are our chicken skewers. You can of course put them on a 'regular' skewer, but if you want to go all-out, homemade sugar cane skewers are even more fun! You can now find sugar cane at the larger Surinamese tokos. But of course you can also go for a kebab skewer or skewer. The chicken skewers taste no less. – Click here for the recipe of the chicken skewers
6. Antillean pumpkin pancakes

A classic. The Antillean 'arepa di pampuna' are small pancakes with pumpkin and cinnamon. The enthusiasts also mix raisins into the batter. Even at Easter, these arepas cannot be resisted. The pancakes are a bit sweet on their own, so they don't need more than a little powdered sugar. This Antillean classic is also a welcome addition to the Easter brunch. † Click here for the pumpkin pancake recipe
7. Stuffed Eggs

Come on, just one more tip: at Easter you should of course eat something made of eggs. You can simply cook them, but stuffed eggs (in Papiamentu we call them 'webu yená') are just that little bit more fun and brighter. Do you want to give the filling for the eggs a really solid color? Then mix some beet powder (pink) or spinach powder (green) through the mixture! † Click here for the recipe for the stuffed eggs
8. Homemade Granola (Gluten Free!)

Don't like the hearty food in the morning and would you rather go for a lighter breakfast? Then our homemade granola is what you need this Easter! We make it gluten-free and with only fine, pure ingredients. Buckwheat grains, coconut and pumpkin seeds for example. You can vary endlessly with this recipe. Put in exactly what you like best! – Click here for the gluten-free granola recipe
9. Tuna Rolls

They look beautiful and you are immediately assured of the perfect 'savory note' for Easter brunch… with these tuna bread rolls you are guaranteed to steal the show! You make them from soft and airy bread dough and a tasty spicy tuna filling. Absolutely worth it. † Click here for the recipe of the tuna rolls
10. Funchi cookies with lemon

Biscuits made from cornmeal and lemon. Are they screaming that spring has sprung? Make them this Easter and surprise your family with them. And do you have any cookies left? Then you can store them in an airtight container. They still taste great a week later. † Click here for the recipe of the funchi cookies
