Beer battered fish & chips
Some recipes are simple, but incredibly tasty. This is one of those! With a simple beer-based batter you can make the most delicious fish for 'fish & chips'. And yes, you can also make tasty treats or kibbeling from this. What matters is that you have good quality whitefish and pass it through the special beer batter.

In the video below you can see how I make the fish & chips (and the sauce) in one minute:
Preparation of fish & chips
Tartar sauce: Mix all the ingredients for the tartar sauce in a bowl and set aside until you are ready to serve the fish & chips.
Pat the fish pieces dry. Then sprinkle them with a little salt and coat the fish in some cornstarch. Tap excess starch from the fish and set the fish aside for a while.
Heat a pan with oil to 180°C. Fry the fries until golden brown, remove from the oil and sprinkle with some salt. Or you can just make frozen fries if you want a quick option.
Batter: mix the flour, baking powder and the "The Original" spices in a bowl. Pour in the beer and beat until smooth.
Dip the fish in the batter to coat it evenly and carefully drop it into the hot oil (watch your fingers!).
Fry the fish pieces for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and done. Serve the fish & chips with the tartar sauce. Enjoy your meal!
